Predrag K. Nikolic is a Southeast Asia–based interactive media artist, interaction designer, and academic leader currently working in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, where he serves as Head of the School of Design and Arts at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak. His creative practice and research sit at the intersection of interactive art, artificial intelligence, immersive media, and digital humanities, with a strong emphasis on biocultural heritage, human–AI co-creation, and experiential knowledge systems. Actively engaged with the cultural and ecological context of Borneo and the wider Southeast Asian region, Nikolic explores how emerging technologies can support local narratives, indigenous knowledge, and sustainable futures. His work has been presented internationally at venues and conferences such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, ISEA, Ars Electronica, and ACM Multimedia. Through his artistic practice, research, and academic leadership, Nikolic positions Southeast Asia as a vital site for future-facing digital art and design innovation.
