Gregoretti is a multidisciplinary artist, software architect, pianist, and composer whose career blends traditional disciplines with a deep interest in technology and algorithms. Since the 1980s, he has been a pioneer in merging sound, music, visual art, immersive experiences, and generative art, presenting his work on a global scale. His exhibitions and performances span prestigious venues such as ISEA, Manifesta, IIC London, LCG Berlin, Videocittà, LPM, and the Genova Science Festival. In addition to his artistic practice, Gregoretti is a professor of transmedia arts and digital storytelling at UNISOB University in Naples. His work encompasses installations, visual artworks, live performances, sound art, music, and app-based artworks, often exploring the interplay between science, technology, algorithms, and the arts, with a spiritual, meditative approach. Currently, as an artist-in-residence at the National Institute for Geophysics and Volcanology, he is dedicated to representing geoscientific data through the fusion of algorithms, visuals and music.
