David Kei Man Yip is an educator, researcher, and artist whose work explores the intersection of technology and storytelling in creative media. With a background spanning cinematic media production and academia, he leads award-winning projects in animation and interactive entertainment. He is currently an Assistant Professor at HKUST (GZ) and Director of the Computational Media and Arts Lab, where he leads the Creative Art Tech (CAT) team. His research investigates the dynamic relationship between media form and creative content through practice-based research that integrates theory with emerging digital tools. He has published several book chapters on interactive media and visual storytelling in Springer. His papers, along with those of his students, have been published at conferences such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH ASIA, ACM CHI, IUI, IEEE AIART, IEEE ICET, IEEE VIS, VINCI, and AHFE.
