Tomás Andrade is a Senior Data Scientist in the Creative Intelligence Lab at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where he leads the research line on Industrial Applications. His work explores the intersections between art, science, and technology, focusing on how artificial intelligence can become a medium for creative and critical inquiry. He developed the AI models behind Expanded Voices — a collaboration with artist Maria Arnal, featured at Sónar and Ars Electronica 2025.

He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has worked as a researcher at Durham, Oxford, and the University of Barcelona, where he also lectured in physics.
