Metaesthetica is a research-driven design collective examining how aesthetic experience emerges from complex systems. Working across artificial life, generative computation, biodata, and material processes, the collective builds experimental frameworks where form, perception, and agency evolve through interactions among humans, algorithms, and living matter. The collective includes Dr. Mert Toka, a media artist and computer scientist, who develops computational systems rendering complex processes perceptible, integrating computer graphics, digital fabrication, HCI, and data-driven art; Iason N. Paterakis, a media artist and architect-engineer, who works with neurobiological and biodata-driven systems and is a student researcher at Google DeepMind; Nefeli Manoudaki, an architect-engineer and researcher, who investigates digital morphogenesis, sensory experience, and biologically inspired design through AI-driven immersive environments; Dr. Diarmid Flatley, a composer and media artist, who develops metacompositional and generative approaches linking sound, visuals, and high-dimensional dynamical systems; and Dr. Stejara I. Dinulescu, a media artist and researcher, who examines perception, agency, and embodiment through haptic sensing and robotic systems.
