Carla Erausquin’s works articulate a subject structured by lack, where each attempt at translation produces a new signifier that both approaches and misses its origins. The practice sustains desire by refusing resolution, exposing meaning as something that emerges through displacement, repetition and misrecognition. Her artistic practice becomes a site where these forces, intensity, and structure are repeatedly transformed and gradually integrated.
Her work can be understood as an active engagement with the instability of meaning and the impossibility of exact translation. Elements are repeated, displaced, and reconfigured through successive translations that reduce their stability and coherence. Each iteration produces a version that remains structurally dependent on the original while progressively distancing itself from it.
