Cynthia Beth Rubin is a Techspressionist artist who transitioned to digital imaging in the early
1980s. Through interwoven layers of representation and abstraction, her work explores unseen
aspects of our world, evoking imagined narratives combining microscopic plankton imagery with
various cultural sources. Rubin has exhibited internationally at museums, festivals, and
symposia across North America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and Asia. Her honors include multiple
Connecticut Artist Fellowships, a New England Foundation for the Arts award, and artist
residencies in France, Scotland, and Canada. She recently facilitated and participated in the
Techspressionist exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Urgench, Uzbekistan.
