Katherine Helen Fisher is a dancer, choreographer, curator, and Emmy-nominated director working at the intersection of performance and emerging media. Her participatory installations and algorithmically scored works explore agency, embodiment, and audience engagement. A former member of the Lucinda Childs Dance Company and performer with the Merce Cunningham Trust and Philip Glass’s Einstein on the Beach, Fisher has presented work at Judson Church, Danspace Project, REDCAT, Harvard metaLAB, and on PBS.

She founded Hyperreal Labs, a creative technology studio producing large-scale interactive media at the frontier of AI, dance, and design, and co-founded Safety Third, an award-winning digital studio. Her credits include One + One Make Three with Kinetic Light and CEILING, winner of Best Dance Short at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival.

Fisher curated Dancing the Algorithm, opening Jacob’s Pillow’s new Doris Duke Theater in 2025. She is a Visiting Assistant Arts Professor at NYU Tisch.
