Marina Stergiou is an XR researcher/developer and PhD candidate at the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering, University of the Aegean, Greece. Her research explores the intersection of digital technologies, dance, movement, and costume, with a particular focus on how digital garments can shape embodied and choreographic experiences. Over the past nine years, she has collaborated with research teams across universities and research institutions, participating in European and national multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of technology, arts, cultural heritage, and design. Her work combines research and creative technology practice, with experience in XR development, motion capture, interactive 3D environments, digital characters, and virtual garments. She holds an MSc in Design of Industrial and Interactive Products and Systems from the University of the Aegean and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
