Marya Triandafellos is a New York City-based visual artist whose practice centers on large-scale public art and generative systems, rooted in the conviction that art has the power to awaken joy and affirm our shared humanity. Her work has been installed in public parks, major institutions, and community spaces across New York City, with commissions spanning NYC Parks, the American Museum of Natural History, the Garment District Alliance, and SAGE. Triandafellos engages technology as a creative instrument rather than a shortcut, using AI tools trained on her own visual language and developing Salon, a custom generative software application that produces behavior-driven compositions from original authored material. Her approach to ethical AI use, grounded in authorship, intention, and original imagery, runs through all her work.

She holds a BFA in Design from Hartford Art School and an MA in Multidisciplinary Art and Art History from New York University. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Time Out New York, and the NYU Alumni Newsletter, and recognized with a NYFA NFT Award and an Awesome Foundation Grant.
