Peijing Mou is a media artist and researcher working with ecology, computation, and experimental narrative. Her work examines threatened ecologies through the lenses of social conflict, technical infrastructures, and the ways language reproduces ideological assumptions. Drawing on critical ecology and computational aesthetics, she builds systems that entangle natural processes with digital media—using field research, data collection and analysis as material for poetic, interactive narratives and tools building.
Previously, she worked as a researcher and creative technologist at CityU’s School of Creative Media and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Her work has been exhibited internationally at ISEA, SIGGRAPH Asia, NeurIPS Art Gallery, FILE Festival, The New River, and The Wrong Biennale, among others. She received her BA in Creative Media from City University of Hong Kong and is currently pursuing an MFA in Design | Media Arts at UCLA, supported by a University Fellowship, where she also serves as a Teaching Assistant.
