Xi “Jake” Wang is a Los Angeles-based digital media artist specializing in immersive design and generative AI art. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2007 and completed a Master’s in Animation and Digital Art from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2020. Wang’s media artworks skillfully construct concrete and surreal worlds through non-human protagonists, blending time and space. These works reflect his sensitive contemplation of culture and exploration of contemporary eras. He has contributed to numerous high-profile art projects, including major studio productions like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Dune Part 2, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and the TV series The Last of Us. In 2022, he exhibited his latest work, the immersive animated short film Illusory Land, at Siggraph Asia. Additionally, Wang has worked on various music videos, album designs, and animated documentaries.
