Zijian Chen is a Shanghai-based digital artist and designer whose practice focuses on generative visual systems shaped by algorithmic programming and data-driven processes. He is particularly interested in uncertainty, emergence, and self-organization, as well as the changing relationships between new technologies and traditional media. His research-based visual experiments explore how computational systems can generate unexpected forms and perceptual experiences. Projects he has contributed to have been presented at the Yangtze River Digital Art Exhibition, Nanjing Creative Design Week, GQ Creative Inspiration Party, Bulgari Collection Art Exhibition, Tank Shanghai, Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts, and Changzhou Museum.
