Ziqian Liu is an interactive artist currently pursuing an MSc in Computing and Creative Industry at the University of the Arts London. Their practice focuses on creating participatory experiences that explore the complex relationships between humans, algorithms, and speculative futures. Through interactive mediums—ranging from sound, gesture, and dynamic text—they investigate how algorithmic systems influence perception, behavior, and cultural narratives, often under the illusion of autonomy.

Her recent projects investigate topics such as the future of ocean–human symbiosis, visual hand-dance systems for deaf education, and large-scale installations that foster communication across dialects. Drawing from social and cultural concerns, Ziqian uses algorithmic logic not only as a tool but also as a subject of critique, challenging how information flows and behaviors are designed in increasingly controlled environments.
