Kio Griffith is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator working between Los Angeles and Japan. His practice moves across sound, installation, moving image, performance, publishing, and site-responsive work, combining craft and technology through an ongoing engagement with memory, language, media, and systems of cultural transmission. His work often begins through acts of listening, observation, collection, and translation, allowing relationships between sound, image, architecture, and place to emerge through process. Griffith’s work has been presented internationally at the Aichi Triennale, REDCAT, Taiwan Romantic Route 3 Art Festival, Sankeien Garden Yokohama, Los Angeles International Airport, and other museums, festivals, universities, and public sites. He currently serves as Visiting Professor in the Department of Information Design at Tama Art University in Tokyo.
