Faried Noor Siregar (Askal) is an interdisciplinary artist from Medan, recently graduated from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, majoring in Theatre. His practice spans theatre, visual arts, cultural research, and archival work. For the past two years, he has been part of Kawan Pustaha, a collective focused on studying and transcribing Batak manuscripts, particularly the Pustaha Lak-lak. His participation in research-based programs like Arus Balik by Lifepatch has deepened his approach to representing culture through diverse media. As co-founder of Bauhouse Consorxium, a small artist collective in Yogyakarta, he collaborates on projects exploring intersections of traditional culture and technology.
