Micah Lockman-Fine is a design researcher, curator and artist. He employs formal academic and creative (arts-based) research methods to produce diverse projects, including exhibitions, performances, public workshops, lectures, and scholarly and experimental writings. With a background in design research, disability studies, human-computer interaction, and speculative design, Micah creates work that engages curiosity and complexity and crafts porous boundaries between mediums and disciplines. His work has been shown or published in Interactions Magazine, the Center for Design Philadelphia, the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery, the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, Vox Populi Gallery, Fringe and Cannonball Festivals, New York Fashion Week, and the School for Poetic Computation, among other places. Currently, he is researching digital materiality, intersections between social, digital, and biological technologies, and the production of nonlinear futures.
