Stephen Paré was born in Ithaca, New York, and bases his multi-disciplinary practice in Houston, Texas.

In addition to being a digital painter, he has been a professional performing musician, writer, and actor. He has composed numerous commissions for acoustic and electronic music ensembles, primarily for theater and dance.

He makes artworks in computers and mobile devices; his artistic and literary models are mostly 19th- and 20th-century painters, composers, and writers.

Since 2022 his artworks have appeared in numerous exhibitions in Rome, Milan, Venice, Madrid, Samarkand, New York City, and other cities; he has upcoming exhibitions in Los Angeles, Venice, and Paris.
